Who we are

Our Mission

Heritage Christian Fellowship, Anchor of Hope Ministries, started in Fall of 1998 at the basement of Reverend Jordan Quarshie in Gates, NY. As the church’s number grew in 4 years, a move to Danforth Community Center, Rochester, NY in 2002 was made to accommodate the growth.

The church later moved to a rental space at the United Methodist Church, Rochester, NY until 2017. In 2015, HCF acquired its own location on 556 Lyell Ave, Rochester, NY, started renovations in 2016 and transitioned there in 2018.

HCF is blessed that from the very onset of the church, we utilized word of mouth networking, community outreach events such as food drives, door to door invitation visits, and church van advertisements to garner interest from community members. These strategies promoted church growth to the congregation it is today. The goal of HCF is to establish a safe and welcoming community of Christian worshipers to glorify the name of God.

Our Mission is to unify all nations of Africa under the umbrella of agape love to give them hope in God’s promise for them in America.

We invite you to experience the difference that faith can make.
